Compilation of A'hadeeth

The claim that the A'hadeeth were not compiled until many years after The Blessed Passing away of the Prophet Muhammad ؐ is false. The Companions ؓ of The Prophet ؐ wrote down the A'hadeeth themselves, and there were many who recorded the sayings, actions and decisions of The Prophet ؐ. Numerous Companions ؓ either collected the A'hadeeth or compiled them as instructions for the people in different regions.


Some of the more well-known Companions who did so are Umm ul-Mu’mineen ‘Aisha bint Abu Bakr ؓ, Ameer ul-Mu’mineen Abu Bakr ؓ, Ameer ul-Mu’mineen ‘Umr ؓ, Ameer ul-Mu’mineen ‘Ali ؓ, Abu Huraira ؓ, ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas ؓ, Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah ؓ, Samura ibn Jundab ؓ, 'Amr ibn 'Hazam ؓ and Anas ؓ. Their collections have become part of the collections organized by The Mu’haditheen.

یہ دعویٰ کہ رسول اللہ ؐ کے وصالِ مبارک کے کئی سال بعد تک احادیث مرتب نہیں ہوئیں، بالکل غلط ہے۔ صحابہ ؓ نے خود احادیث لکھیں اور بہت سے ایسے تھے جنہوں نے رسول اللہ ؐ کے اقوال،  افعال اور فیصلوں کو یا تو قلمبند کیا اور یا مختلف علاقے کے لوگوں کے لیے ہدایات کے طور پر مرتب کروایا۔

کچھ زیادہ مشہور صحابہ ؓ جنہوں نے ایسا کیا ان میں ام المومنین عائشہ ؓ، امیر المومنین ابو بکر ؓ، امیر المومنین عمر ؓ، امیر المومنین علی ؓ، ابو ہریرہ ؓ، عبداللہ ابن عباس ؓ، جابر ابن عبداللہ ؓ، سمرہ ابن جندب ؓ، عمرو یبن حزم ؓ اور انس ؓ شامل ہیں۔ ان کے مجموعے بعد میں آنے والے محدثین کی کتابوں کا حصہ بن چکےہیں۔
